We are pleased to announce that from the 11th July the laser team here at Real Art Tattoo will be offering another service. Along with our tattoo reduction/removal we will now also be doing ‘Carbon Laser Facial Peels’, also known as the ‘China Doll Laser Facial’, ‘Carbon Skin Rejuvenation’ and the ‘Hollywood Peel’. This affordable and non-invasive treatment is finally available here at the studio. We have a comfortable, private and dedicated treatment room separate from the tattoo studio with both female and male trained Technicians. The benefits of the treatment are said to include: 1. Reduces fine lines and wrinkles 2. Tightens dilated pores 3. Reduces acne, scars and post acne discolouration 4. Removes dead skin cells from the superficial epidermal layer 5. Stimulates collagen growth 6. Improves skin texture 7. Clears pores to help reduce blackheads and whiteheads 8. Controlling oily skin Benefits can be seen in as little as one session although to get the best benefits a course of four sessions is recommended at 1-4 week intervals. The science The heat from the light is attracted to the melanin/oxy-haemoglobin in the blood. The heat reaction breaks down the melanin and coagulates the blood within the area. This then leaves the body through the lymphatic system leaving the skin with a clearer complexion. The heat that is also created within the epidermis and dermis, making the skin react as if it has had an injury. The blood and collagen rush into this area to repair it leaving the skin with a smoother appearance.
